AMNESTY OFFICE TO EMPOWER TRAINED DELEGATES IN COMMERCIAL AGRICULTURE NEXT WEEK – PASTOR REUBEN

AMNESTY OFFICE TO EMPOWER TRAINED DELEGATES IN COMMERCIAL AGRICULTURE NEXT WEEK – PASTOR REUBEN
A total number of 96 trained delegates of the Presidential Amnesty Programme who have undergone various agricultural training programmes are likely to smile home next week, as the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme is set to hand over empowerment packages to them to establish their own commercial agricultural farms in selected locations across the Niger Delta region.
This Revolutionary Agricultural Empowerment project will ensure great Economic Value Chain and will transform the Niger Delta into the Agricultural Hub of the Niger Delta and beyond.
Speaking with newsmen, shortly after a crucial meeting with some beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme’s empowerment scheme over the weekend in Yenagoa, Coordinator of Phase One Ex-agitators in the region, Pastor Reuben C. Wilson (popularly known as Gen. Pastor) who commended President Muhammadu Buhari for giving priority attention to the Amnesty programme, noted that the wisdom of the President in sustaining the Amnesty programme is the reason for the existing and sustainable peace and stability in the region.
He admonished beneficiaries to optimally utilize the empowerment packages to be given them by Amnesty Office next week to add value to their lives and those of their families, just as he advised beneficiaries of the empowerment packages to be law abiding and sustain the existing peace in the Niger Delta Region.
Mr. Wilson commended the current Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig-Gen. Paul Boroh (Rtd) for his vision to engage the delegates in commercial agriculture through various empowerment training programmes, saying that the programme has recorded landmark achievements under the watch of Gen. Boroh in the last two years.
He therefore called on all critical stakeholders in the Niger Delta to rather close ranks with Gen. Boroh to enable him achieve set goals for the youths in the region, particularly those captured under the Presidential Amnesty Programme, pointing out that “youth empowerment could only be influenced through a well-focused skills acquisition and empowerment schemes, which is the focus of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, under Gen. Boroh.
Recall that research has shown that no meaningful social and economic progress could be recorded when majority of the populace are unemployed like in the case of the Niger Delta region.Image may contain: 12 people, people sittingImage may contain: 12 people, people sittingImage may contain: 2 people, people sitting and indoor
