Work on the Imiringi bridge in Ogbia Local Government Area has commenced. The bridge was destroyed by heavy floods in 2012. Worried by the development and because of its importance to people of that area, the Restoration Government of His Excellency, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson decided to reconstruct the bridge.
The contract for the reconstruction was earlier awarded and the contractor was mobilized to site but work on the bridge couldn't continue due to paucity of funds arising from the recession of 2015, 2016 and 2017. Only recently, the contractor was re-mobilized to site and there is every certainty that the project will now be completed at record time.
The action of the government has once again demonstrated their commitment to make life more easier for the citizenry.
